I do this work with a saw and a jackhammer where the pipe runs under slab, including inside a working commercial kitchen where I replaced cast iron in October 2026. How do I know my cast iron pipes are failing?
Frequent backups, drains that run slow all over the house, sewer smells, and rust flakes in your water are the common signs. In Pompano Beach the age of the house is a clue by itself, since so many were built when cast iron was the standard. Do you have to tear up my whole floor?

Some jobs can be done in sections so you are not replacing good pipe just because it is nearby. I will walk you through the runs I propose to open before we start.

PVC does not rust, does not scale up inside, and its smooth walls keep waste moving instead of catching it. Fitted properly it will outlast the iron it replaces by decades. It is also lighter to work with under a slab, which keeps the job tighter and the floor opening smaller than old methods needed.
